April Currently

April 2, 2014 By fancyfreein4th

I am so, So, SO excited that it is April because it is almost our Spring Break and boy do I need it!  I have grand hopes of getting a lot of things done and catching up on some sleep… hopefully both will happen.
Check out my April Currently:
Currently, I am listening to my 2 1/2 year old “read” to my almost 10 month old.  They are two peas in a pod I tell you and the teacher in me loves her little pre-reading voice.
Currently, I am loving that this week is a modified week because of parent-teacher conferences. Today I was home by 2:00 and I have had time to redo some bulletin boards and organize my student data folders in between conferences.

Currently, I am thinking that I need to do something extra sweet for my hardworking husband. He is a high school English teacher who is so dedicated and he really wants all 150 of his students to succeed.  You should SEE the piles of papers he brings home everyday. He is a meticulous grader and is up late everynight trying to catch up.  On top of that he tutors kids after school in math for free, has countless letters of recommendation to write for scholarships, programs and college… PLUS he is almost done completing his Masters in Education.  He is in the middle of his Action Research Project and is just completely overwhelmed and exhausted. Throw in 2 young kiddos who don’t sleep through the night and you have one tired and overworked guy.  I need to think of something great to do for him to let him unwind, relax and feel appreciated…
Currently, I am wanting some new paleo crockpot recipes. I am on a paleo eating challenge with my bootcamp and I am looking for some yummy crockpot  recipes for the days that are super busy.
Currently, I am needing time to just work in my classroom.  Where does the time go?

Thanks for the Currently Farley! I always love linking up and I can’t wait to check in with all my favorite blogging buddies to see what their April Currently says.  I will have to wait until the kiddos go down!  Until then….

    Hi Layla,
Recently, I did a 21 day vegetarian challenge and I pinned some vegan, vegetarian, and paleo options on my Pinterest. Do you have Pinterest? There are TONS of Paleo recipes on there. Just do a search for some. If you want to see the ones I pinned go here: http://www.pinterest.com/kasandrateach/

Wow! Your husband definately deserves a break. Maybe you could send him to Vegas for a guy's weekend. My husband would love that!

Blog hoppin this evening. Love your colors of your blog, but what I really love is your science post and game idea! What an awesome idea for getting the kids to retain and remember concepts! I teach science to over 400 K-5th graders and am always looking for great ideas. Thanks!
