Earth Science Challenge

June 23, 2013 By fancyfreein4th

It has been a long time in the making but I have finished my newest product, Earth Science Challenge Facts and Game.  My school has a high regard for science and to ensure that each grade level masters key Power Standards we give trimester Science Fact Quizzes that I have modified and bundled together as a great center game.

 The Game Board

Slide 29 is the award that is given to students who score proficient on the final Earth Science Challenge test.
I give the Earth Science Challenge 1st trimester and 2 other science challenges for the remaining two trimesters (Physical Science and Life Science).  With all 3 of these games/facts mastered, students have a better grasp on key science concepts from various grade levels and are better prepared to learn about the subjects in depth as well as do well on commonly asked science questions on high stakes testing.  Our schools science scores are one of the best in the district and I know that it is because of our stellar teachers as well as implementing these science challenges from Kinder to 5th grade.  I will be posting the Physical Science and Life Science Facts and Games later this week. This is a great activity to incorporate into your center time and it is not only easy to introduce but so fun for your students!
See how my students went nuts over it! Engaged, on task and Science Minded! A win-win!

***I will send a free copy to my first 5 followers who pin this and leave me a comment with a link back to the pin!***
