Fraction Match Up Sort and a new home update…

January 10, 2013 By fancyfreein4th

Well hello blogosphere! I have missed thee. We have moved into our NEW house and it is slooowwllly but surely becoming a home. Here are a couple pictures of our new house- remember it is a work in progress!

Penelope eating breakfast in our new dining room.
Our living room- we just hung up curtains and they have made a world of difference! Now to accessorize and hang up our pictures!
Penelope’s room. We are unpacking her room to make it as cute as it was before!

I also want to share my new math activity that deals with fraction concepts.  We are starting fractions soon enough and this activity is a great hands-on way to get students familiar with the different ways to represent a fraction.

Students will cut these cards out and find their matches….
on this worksheet! Then, they will color the Fraction in a Group to demonstrate the parts of fraction.
This activity is great for partner work, individual or in a math center! Hope your kids love it as much as I know mine will. You can find this activity for sale here at my TpT store!

Oh, what a pretty house! It's a lot of work to move and then set your house up just the way you want it!!

We are just about to start fractions next week so this is perfect timing! Thanks for making this!
