Made it Monday: OWLS, OWLS & more OWLS!

August 13, 2012 By fancyfreein4th

I am on vacation right now, trying to enjoy the last bits of summer and trying NOT to freak out that I haven’t even moved into my new school/classroom yet! Tomorrow is the big day that I finally get to move in, meet my new staff and GET-T0-WORK.

I am linking up with Tara from Fourth Grade Frolics to show you all  what a HOOT making things this week was.  I have 3 OWL inspired items that for you…

I am so EXCITED to share my Owl Themed Behavior Clip Chart!  One of my TpT followers requested that I make a clip chart that was OWL inspired. I am soooo excited that she requested this because this turned out sooooo cute!

Here it is…

Also included with the clip chart are three parent communication forms:
Here  is a Behavior Reflection Form for those students who need a minute or two to gather themselves.

This Owl Mail Post Card will help to celebrate and communicate when an Owl-tastic student has made it to the top of the tree (chart)

and these are daily communication slips for younger grades. They can learn to be reflective thinkers by coloring where their clip is at the end of each day, and then bringing it home to show their parents.

Next, I made, printed, laminated and put magnets on all of my Daily Agenda/ Schedule signs. This year, instead of writing down what we are doing for the day, I plan on using these magnets to save time, make it look cute and communicate to the class what our learning will look like today.

I love how they turned out! These are a part of my Owls and Brights classroom pack.
Lastly, Nicole from Rowdy in Room 300 made some CUTE Tidy Tubs for last weeks Made it Monday, and I decided to make my own and Owl-ify it.  You can pick these up free here….

You can pick all of your Owl Classroom up here at my Teachers Pay Teachers store  along with a lot of other AMAZING things to get you ready for this new school year.  Remember, today is the LAST DAY of the HUGE Back to School Sale at Teachers Pay Teachers…. Everything is ON SALE NOW so, what are you waiting for!

There’s so much advice I would tell first year- There’s so much advice I would tell first year- teacher-me…. Especially after the last (almost) 2 years of teaching; barely afloat. This year is so hard. I have to stop regularly and tell my student teacher, “it’s never been like this”. But to my core, it’s always been- children first, relationships first, or nothing else matters. Though this year is tough in new ways, there’s still much hope and laughter each day. Thanks @eveleon26 for reminding me of my first, wonderful year of teaching- so I can bring that energy, excitement each day- no matter the circumstance. For all of my teacher friends out there, I see you- I know it’s hard- and I’m grateful for you. (P.S-it’s almost winter break, you got this!) #tiredteacher #cleareyesfullheartscantlose
