My Fall in Love with Algebra Bulletin Board

January 29, 2013 By fancyfreein4th

I was talking with some of my colleagues in the teacher’s lounge about updating our classroom bulletin boards and we all shared a common problem- making a Math bulletin board is difficult. Well… challenge accepted. Check out my C-U-T-E Algebra Bulletin Board.

My Broken Heart Equation and Variable activity from my Fall in Love with Algebra set was the perfect solution to my math bulletin board dilemma!

After reviewing my Algebra posters of rules and definitions, they worked in partners to solve the equations and find the matching variable that made their equation true.  They colored the matching broken heart pieces before they cut them out

Sorry it is blurry- iphone photograph fail 🙂
Next, they cut out the matching heart pieces and glued them together:

They worked really well together and loved the tactile take on solving algebraic equations.  If you are interested in this great activity pack, pick it up here at my TpT store! It is chalked full of activities and teaching tools to help reinforce Algebra.

What a genius idea! You did well here! Love the fact that the older kiddos get to have the same fun as the littles!

Hummm I wonder if I had any of those sweet children. This is such a great way to make learning fun and I cannot wait to show teachers your new packet.
    Love you,
