Rounding Through the Millions Task Cards

September 2, 2012 By fancyfreein4th

The second week of school came and went quickly. I felt more set with routines and procedures. I am excited for all of the new things that I have been trying out and I have felt very affirmed by both my school and blog community!
Even though I have taught 4th grade before, I have never taught 4th grade math. I am seeing a lot of holes already in the curriculum and have been making supplemental material to help meet various standards.  My Place Value Through the Millions Set has sold like CRAZY! I used all of those activities last week and it made math fun and the standards attainable! My class took the Place Value Test this past Friday and 90% of my class passed with flying colors!
The next math feat is…..Rounding Through the Millions !
To help my students interact with this tough standard, I created these Rounding Through the Millions Task Cards.

Here is an example of the Rounding Task Cards.

A task card is a pretty new tool that allows teachers to organize assignments in a way that is easy for students to understand. Task Cards are easy to make and convenient for use in a variety of classroom settings. Just print and laminate! These are a great way to differentiate instruction and to break students up into groups. Each group can then have a different task to work on – at their level!
All of these task cards are fit for Fourth Grade Common Core and will work well for math centers. I cannot wait to introduce these next week! I know the class will enjoy them, and I can pull small groups while they are working together!

I hope you find these as useful as I do! You can get this Rounding Task Card Set here, on sale now!

It's so funny, I can tell we have a similar curriculum because we just started rounding but we only go up to the thousands for now ;0)
