Listening: My baby boy is currently 2 months and 3 weeks old. He has grown like a weed and is busy smiling, cooing, and sleeping for 5 hours (Praise Jesus!). Baby coos are just about the best sounds in the world and he has stolen my heart with his little voice!

Loving: School started for me on Tuesday and it was one long and hot week! I was exhausted and napped when I got home a couple of times. I really needed this 3 day weekend to rest and catch up on some chores around the house. Back to the daily grind tomorrow!
Thinking: Have you heard about Planbook.com? It looks really awesome, but intimidating. I signed up for their free trial period. I am hoping it is user friendly.
Wanting: I am not sure if it is all the cute fall clothes that are coming out right now or if it is because I am losing my pregnancy weight (slowly but surely) and I want to dress my slimmer physique BUT I want to go on a shopping spree badly! Online shopping is the best and worst thing!
Needing: I need to update my Gradebook Pro with my new class’ names so I can start recording and stay organized. Easy thing to do, but on a day like today where I have a free day off I just want to relax 🙂
Love yourself-aka- My 3 goals for this month:
1) Exercise 5 days a week- I joined an all female boot camp a month ago and I absolutely love it. It is not the most cost friendly thing, but just going to the gym isn’t cutting it anymore. I need someone to push me to do new exercises, to encourage me and to make me work for it! I am committing to 12 more weeks with this boot camp but I need to rework my routine to make it work. I was going to boot camp was at 5:30 AM, 4 days a week and then I would go to a Kick Boxing class on Saturday mornings BUT now that my husband and I are back at work (he starts tomorrow) we have to coordinate our schedules and add in pick up/drop off for our kiddos at grandma’s house. I see some evening sessions in my future! I feel so much better after 6 weeks in and have seen some results that really encourage me to keep going. Now I just have to balance it all: Family, Work, Exercise!
2) My husband and I are avid cooks but during the school year we slack off and tend to eat salads a lot because they are easy to make. We really want to start meal planning so that we have a clear idea of what we will be eating and do a lot of the shopping and prep work on the weekends. PLUS, by being intentional about our meal planning we can make wiser choices that will make our dinners more healthy and also more budget friendly. Anyone have advice on how to do this?
3) I know that this is a love yourself goal for the month, but woo’ing my husband is a goal for this month because having a new born, a 2 year old, and a new house there are days where I feel like we haven’t seen each other at all! This month I want to make him feel special because he is a sweetie pie who supports me and takes such good care of us!

I used planbook.com last year and am using it again this year. There are a few little things that I had to become accustomed to (like when I expand or bump a lesson it shifts everything over) but once I figured out what was happening it was no big deal. One of the best things about it is that my fourth grade team plans together so if one of us types up the weekly lessons for ELA the rest of us just have to import it into our lessons. Super big time saver!
