SOCAL Blog Hop!!!! SUMMA TIME!

August 2, 2014 By fancyfreein4th

I am so excited to join some of my favorite blogger buddies for this SoCal Blog Hop! Summering in Southern California is amazing. The weather, the beaches and all of the This summer the local attractions has made this summer a festive one- full of parties, family, vacations and rest.
I have been on FULL vacation mode and am starting to get back into school mode, slowly but surely.
This summer, I have been thinking about things I can add to my existing behavior management plan to showcase positive behaviors that my students exhibit.  My school has recently adopted a school wide positive behavior incentive program which gets the entire staff involved in supporting students academically and behaviorally.  It really emphasizes community and supports students to make good choices all day long all across campus.  I love positive reinforcement so I created these little freebie for you all! These Surf”s Up! Dollars  are for you to give to students who are showing stellar scholarly behaviors.
Simply, print these off, laminate and award to students who are helping the school community.
Whether it be that they are super respectful, responsible, helpful or that they are just all around awesome and on task AKA being a good leader.  These Surf’s Up dollars reinforce their positive behaviors and they can cash them in for a special reward such as:

This is a simple way to let students know that character counts! Getting other teachers or the entire school onboard would make an even bigger impact! There really is no limit to helping students make better choices- it is the beauty of being an educator!

Thanks for stopping by… make sure to head on over to the amazing and super adorable Christy, from Crayons and Whimsy
