Cactus Classroom Theme

June 25, 2017 By fancyfreein4th

Cactus Watercolor classroom decoration theme is amazing!

So, I found out on my first day of Summer Vacation that  I am moving to a different grade level next year.  The very FIRST thing that I thought about was I need to redecorate my room.  New grade level, new team, new curriculum, new students… it just made sense. I needed a fresh start. Does anyone else get the 3 year, gotta change my class theme itch or is it just me?

I decided to go with a Cactus Water Color theme. It is so peaceful and serene.  I just ran with it and 2 days later I had my entire room decor ready to print and laminate.

Since it turned out sooooo beautifully, I decided I needed to share it on my Teachers Pay Teachers store because Cactus Chic is totally in right now. The best part is that this is my very first editable product! So all 125 pages in this can be customized to fit your classroom needs. I made the color scheme for this flexible to go with different supply bin/library containers you might have in your class.

Here is a sneak peek at what is included in this set. You can check out more details here.

So, if you know anyone is is gaga for cacti, this might be the set for them. It was so fun making I am thinking of creating a flamingo/tropical set for one of my neighbor teachers.  Any other themes you into, let me know.

Now I am off to laminate, cut and scour Michaels, Target and Hobby Lobby for all things Cactus. If you see any must haves let me know by tagging me on IG! Annnd now I need to start reading the new novels and preparing for math and social studies for next year. This summer is going to fly by!

There’s so much advice I would tell first year- There’s so much advice I would tell first year- teacher-me…. Especially after the last (almost) 2 years of teaching; barely afloat. This year is so hard. I have to stop regularly and tell my student teacher, “it’s never been like this”. But to my core, it’s always been- children first, relationships first, or nothing else matters. Though this year is tough in new ways, there’s still much hope and laughter each day. Thanks @eveleon26 for reminding me of my first, wonderful year of teaching- so I can bring that energy, excitement each day- no matter the circumstance. For all of my teacher friends out there, I see you- I know it’s hard- and I’m grateful for you. (P.S-it’s almost winter break, you got this!) #tiredteacher #cleareyesfullheartscantlose
